Erotic Nude Female Split Legs
This is a pose I had tried once and wasn’t happy with the result. I wanted perfectly outstretched legs. I told the model while we developed the pose as she did the splits “I want to cast what the floor sees”.
The model was a circus performer and quite capable of holding this position for a length of time.
I used some some very special rigging and methods I developed just for this cast. The molding itself took about 50 minutes.
Readying the mold for casting took several weeks. When I was finally ready to make a cast I reinforced it with 3/4” dowels. The hanging system I fashioned from steel channel. It has a simple vertical slip slot at the balance point for a screw mounted to a joist. The cast it’s self is light (7 lbs) but the torque on one screw might be too much for a loose mount.
It’s finished with a copper impregnated finish. The patina is real.
I had initially thought to call this “Wings” but it limited the vision I wanted to inspire. Simply “Flying” have it the spirit and emotion I was shooting for. I love this cast. You will too.
It would be perfect to mount over a headboard, couch or bar.
