This is possibly the worlds first Vagase (vaj-Ās)
This one is titled “ Equinox”. The point when the equator crosses the suns path, half the time ushering the blooming of spring. The Fall equinox brings retreat. No matter how unique and precious the blossom they are always renewed next year. No matter how unique and special, love always returns.
The legs and buttocks were molded from a model. Afterward the sculpture was modified to connect the arms in a circular fashion. Coloring on the arms varies to lighter colors reaching the brightest midpoint representing the sun.
This vase could hold water since it is is resin lined but I don’t recommend it.

In many ways I’m at a loss for words, but as a collector of art over the years I always look for a combination of beauty and realism. This piece by Andrew is the pinnacle combination of both.
